Oh, I just checked sell.com, one of those gray-market sites selling complete sets of various TV series. I've had middling luck with complete sets of Car 54 Where Are You? and all the Bomba the Jungle Boy (!) programmers by Tarantino's fave auteur Ford Beebe! The quality wasn't 10 on these; may a 7 or 8, but definitely watchable.

Thanks for exhuming the wildly underrated Brahm. I also like Peter's comment about Brahm continuing his cinematic themes in his TV work. True too, I think, of Joseph H. Lewis (the stark, grim beauty of his Rifleman episodes is a thing to behold) and no doubt others.

To get back to The Locket - it's an amazing film, one of the most interesting of the '40s. A knockout cast and a wonderfully complex plot that never slips out of grasp. The abnormal psychology motif never looked so good as it does residing in Laraine Day's surface-sunny femme fatale. You've gotta tip your hat to a woman who can make the indomitable Robert Mitchum kill himself.

The question now re: Brahm is where where WHERE is Thriller? This madness has gone on long enough. I'm a Patricia Barry completist and I want "A Wig for Miss Devore" - NOW! Oh, and all the other episodes. Dammit.

Thanks for the mention. What John Brahm's career indicates is that personal expression in themes and visual style can carry over from film to television work. One hopes an official DVD release of the "Thriller" series will be released soon, as well as Brahm's other films such as Let Us Live.
