I was a rather large fan until the string of disapointments starting with Any Given Sunday (the last Stone movie I remember really enjoying was U Turn). I remember hearing years ago that he was starting a penetrating conspiracy heavy film about 9/11, which was immediatly met with a governmental and public outcry. WTC was certainly not that film. I wonder if all the premature negative publicity, potential (and probably) governmental "requests" to change his subject/angle, and his own frustration at not being able to achieve his former sucess and cultural importance from JFK played a large roll in his production of this current manipulative and conservative tear-jerker.
