Voight campaigned for Rudy Giuliani during the 2008 Republican Presidential Primary. Since he's pretty much past his sell-by date, any pronouncement he makes I generally take cumo graino salto.

What a creep Voight is. No wonder Angelina doesn't talk to him. Hard to reconcile his good performances with his loathsome politics.
Maybe to him politics isn't as important as playing "the rebel" and being on the side of the opposition, regardless of who's in charge?
