Fuseli's painting was nicely adapted for use in the film "Gothic."
Well...at least the spirit of it.

Nice. Another example is supposedly the overview over the city at night in Blade Runner and Bosch's Garden of Delight. Compare the opening of Blade Runner (2:34) and the upper part here.
