Fellini's "8-1/2" meets Eminem's "8 Mile"
The folks at The AV Club have cleverly created a trailer for Fellini's 8-1/2 in the style of Eminem's 8 Mile, calling it 8-1/2 Mile. As they say, "If Fellini's 8-1/2 came out in 2006, this is what the trailer would have looked like." Now we know.

...I'm struggling for words here...8 1/2 is my favorite film of all time...Eminem leaves me cold, mostly...But I like what you've done...your Frankenstein job...if only because it helps open Fellini's masterpiece a new audience...Still, not too bad...I especially like the image selection and editing...Despite the obvious connections with the two film titles, that's about the only connection with these two artists...Wonder what Nino would say...Hell, I already know...What's next, Fellini Satyricon and Mel Gibsons Apocalypto doing a pas de deux?????...I can dig it...3 1/2 thumbs up.

thank you very much! we are so glad that:
a) at least a few people get the joke
b) that there are more than 5 of the above mentioned people :)
we are just so glad that there are people out there who get and appreciate this, so thank you!

Nice one... Fellini's striking images hold up against the quick cut-and-fade edit style of today!
Kind of let down here by no actual clever inclusion of any Eminem footage, but nice typography!

look...i hate 8 1/2. Just too boring. Of course, it was a very interesting movie, with a lots of well built structure, but still boring!!
And with your unpredictble work, I even may watch it again...congratulations
Brilliantly edited, and striking use of visuals from one of my all-time favorite movies.
Anyone have any idea what the first musical piece in the trailer is (I know the Eminem (spelling?) song)?
